An exhibition of new works,  opened by Bob Ryans son,  Eamon RyanTD and leader of the Green Party

Bob Ryan was born in Tramore, Co. Waterford.   He was educated at the Presentation Brothers College, Cork, and joined the Munster & Leinster Bank in Cork in 1949. 
From 1970 to 1986 he was Public Relations Manager with Aillied Irish Banks.   Following a period as editor or the briefly revived satirical magazine,  Dublin Opinion, he was Director of Marketing and Public Relations for the registered charity Cerebral Palsy Ireland,  from 1988 to 1997.  He studied art in the Crawford Municipal School of Art in Cork and the National College of Art in Dublin.   
He lives in Sandycove with his wife Mary.  They have three sons, one daughter and twelve grandchildren.
